Paul Harris Fund/Rotary International

The mission of the Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

“Imagine helping an orphanage in Peru get a new commercial bakery so the children will have a change to learn a trade and the orphanage can be more self-supporting. Join Rotary and you can help make the world a better place for all.”

Todd Fischer

The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world. Donations made by members of our Club are sent to the Rotary Foundation where they are held for two years, and then can return to us in the form of matching grants which allow us to fund our international projects. When we collaborate with other clubs to maximize matching grant opportunities, it is not unusual to turn a $5,000 grant from our club into $20,000 or more.

Rotarians who contribute $1,000 or more to the Foundation are recognized as Paul Harris Fellows. Rotarians may also donate $1,000 to honor others with a Paul Harris Fellowship.
